Anyone else tried these? It's made by Gordon-Griffiths tackle out of the United Kingdon. I have only had the chance to try them out for about 2 days, but had a ton of big follows on them...but no hook ups. You have to order them from the UK which makes them a bit pricey, but that never seemed to bother any muskie guy I know. They are kind of similar to a slammer drop belly or magic maker, but have better action in my opinion....lots of belly flash.

Just wondering if anyone else has used them.

I am waiting for them to hit the states. They had them at the chicago musky show last year but sold out of them in a hurry. i wonder is smokey's or moores has them, they sell gordon griffiths stuff. Gordon-Griffiths always has a bunch of bargain stuff at the shows too.

Todd, how do you sleep at night knowing there is bait out there that you don't own!

Better get on it you slacker.

LOL!! Yes, I have one and I love it. It sinks slowly and you can fish it in a lot of different ways: longs, slow sweeps like for a suick make it wobble from side to side; short, baby taps make it glide from side to side; wild twitches make it dance really erratically. Great bait overall and it's good to know that they switched to an epoxy coating last year.

Todd...

You can order them from the company...that's what I did....nice folks too...it just adds up with the shipping and the currency conversion. Go to Gordon-griffiths website for the contact info.

Divani....

Glad to hear you like it....I too like the action a lot, but the question I have for you is what have you caught on it?

nothing yet. Catches have been extremely poor over here due to the extended heat wave. I have only caught a handful of pike this year, mostly on bucktailspinnerbaits and crankbaits. No pike on jerkbaits yet

Muskiefishman, I checked their web site, the fat flipper is still not on it. Looks just like last years catalog.

Yeah...you have to call them up or email them, Phil Griffiths emailed me the descriptions of the color patterns they have available and said they haven't scanned them in yet for the new catalogue. Here is what he sent me....

Fat Flippers available 52g (2oz) or 82g (3oz)

Colours available are - Golden Shad
Silver Shad - Silver, Blue Back, Black Spots along center line of fish
Hot Banana - Bright Yellow, Purple Wavy Stripe down sides plus spots (sounds
wierd but is great in colored water).
Skunk - Dark Brown, Light Blue Back and Belly, Light Blue spots along center
line( a bluegill type of look, terrific in clear water).
Red Devil - Fluorescent Red, Black Back, White slashes on side.
Tomato - Red with Yellow Spots (will have orange belly on next batch) .
Crappie - Pearl White, Black Back, Black Crappie Stripes.
Fire Tiger - Pearl with Gren Back, Black Tiger Stripes.
Trout - Trout pattern!
Perch - Green and yellow with Black Stripes

I have the golden perch(big and small), and the big banana and the big skunk

Attached is the only photos he does have...the tomatoe, perch and banana(pretty crazy, but cool)

Thanks for the info. Phil is a great guy, I always stop at his booth and buy something and talk awhile. They have some great baits, I am glad nobody has tossed his minnow crankbaits much cause he would sell them out just as fast as his fat flipper.
