Posts: 1901 Location: MN | I did mine the other night, including House reps on the companion bill. While i kept in some stuff about relying on science based management, letting the DNR do its job, and not allowing lakeshore owners to privatize public waters,my emails tried to focus more on what I spend in local areas where i muskie fish, and also tugging on heartstrings with tales about experiencing muskie fishing with my kids and hoping to do so with my granddaughter, and the thrill of catching one of these fish as a kid or an adult. Who knows if it will do any good. You would hope so but my confidence in our elected officials doing things for the right reasons is limited. I also wrote a detailed letter to Dennis Anderson at the Star Tribune, asking if he can write an article and bring some attention to this mess, but never heard back from him

Posts: 3483 Location: Elk River, Minnesota | Just a thought... With Governor Dayton not running for office again, do you feel there is a good chance he would NOT sign the bill even if it makes it to his desk? I don't think he needs to worry about any popularity contest as he is not running for another term. I just don't see how all of the bill would ever make it through both house and senate, let alone get signed into law. Umbrella a whole bunch of things that may not be in the best interest of the people as a whole... I just don't see him going for something like that... No doubt I could be quite wrong on that, though... your thoughts? Steve

Posts: 1516 | doesn't putting it in am Omnibus bill mean have good things that are wanted and needed polluted with crap like this? If he doesn't sign the Omni bus bill if passed the state throws out the good with the bad. Legislation is a lot like making hotdogs, you really don't want to know how it gets done and what goes into it.
