I have a 2004 50hp Mercury 2-cycle outboard. Carburetor, not EFI. I was talking to a dealer last fall about routine maintenance. The guy told me I should get my water vapor separator serviced/cleaned out. I would like to do this myself if possible. I am struggling to find good articles or YouTube videos for my particular motor. Problem right now is I can’t locate it on my motor. To be honest I’m not exactly sure what I looking for due to the lack of good info online. Figure what’s the hurt in trying this forum out. If anyone has experience servicing these and could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Only EFI/DFI motors have a vapor separator (VST). Might want to find a new dealer.
