I unexpectedly get to go fishing tomorrow...I love it when that happens. With all this rain and slowly falling temps I am wondering what patterns I should focus on...are the fish still going to be shallow in the weeds? Is it too early to soak a sucker? And finally how well do muskies bite in rain like this?

If your water levels have risen at all, I would definitely fish shallow. If you have alot of rain, look for the bloom lakes to clear up.

Todd, you were right on the shallow bite. All the fish I caught and moved were in less than 6 feet of water. Couldn't get a deep water fish to even follow.
