Has anyone ever seen or heard of Muskies being on the MN side of Rainy?
Going up this weekend for smallies and wouldn't mind hucking a few big baits.

Don't know if they are still open or not ,but you might try calling
Taylors Cove resort ,on Red Gut Bay ,Ca , 807481 2526.
Regarding Mn waters , you can't do finer than Woody's Fairly Reliable
Guide Service in Rainer , Minnesota . If muskies swim near there , Woody
will know .( And if you hire him ,he MAY get you back to the dock !
He is Fairly Reliable !
good trip

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin

The only muskies I found in Rainy that were reasonably fishable were in the Redgut Bay area. I found BIG pike in many areas, though, which is what I was actually looking for. A 20# plus pike is definitely attainable there. If you make the run to Blaek Bay, it is about a wrap.

Smallmouth rule the waters. Great fishery, and lots of fun to vacation there.

I fish Rainy a lot. I have caught some good fish along the US/Can border. Right from Kettle Falls all the way to the international bridge many of you cross. So the answer is yes. There are some good fish catchable in the US waters.
