Posts: 39 | Just ordered a Frabill conservation series musky net from Amazon last night $122.66 and free Prime shipping. Scheduled to arrive Thursday Rollie and Hellens had them for 150 plus 30 bucks additional shipping charge Also bought an Abu Revo Toro S summer of 2016 marked down significantly from retail price of 250. I like giving places like Rollie's my business, but deals like this are hard to pass on. Thought I would share in case anyone out there is looking to save....i always check amazon!

Its kind of strange, but I believe we pay tax in WI because their distribution plant is in state. Prior to the plant being built here, we were not charged sales tax

Posts: 4053 Location: Land of the Musky | I talked to an Amazon warehouse manager and the just bought all Targets. Soon all Targets will be cashierless stores. You walk in with your Amazon card and just scan and go.... Also they just signed on with Uber to have 4hr deliveries in major cities! WOW!!!

Something I will be watching is the alliance between Amazon, Berkshire-Hathaway and JP Morgan to develop their own health care network. It has already scared a number of for profit health care companies, their stocks fell almost immediately upon the news. They employ a lot of folks but more importantly their CEOs are big opinion leaders and watch by other CEOs. As the former head of Theda Care in the Appleton said when he was retiring, the USA does not have the best health care system, just the most expensive.

You walk in with your Amazon card and just scan and go.... No they didn't, c'mon. A warehouse manager told you? Lol. Amazon is big, $450B big, but Target is snothing to sneeze at as it is a $40B+ company with $7B in earnings last year. They're competing against Amazon. As for cashierless stores, Amazon is experimenting with one solitary "Go" store in Seattle right now. The more likely move seems to be to make Whole Foods cashierless (which they did buy last year) as well as using Whole Foods as the warehouse for their Amazon Fresh food deliveries within a few hours.

Amazon did not buy Target, but strategically it would be smart. There were some rumors about an acquisition in 2018 but its just rumor at this point.

Posts: 135 | The rumors were because someone wrote an article that said, "strategically it would be smart." Not because it was happening. Target is probably less impressed by the idea than your typical Amazon warehouse manager.

Posts: 164 | We just spent the last couple days going through or receipts figuring out what we have to pay tax on for our online purchases and amazon charged tax on some items and not on others. A real pain to try and figure out.
