Hey guys, wondering what you use for main line on your trolling setup. I’m usually using planer boards and/or holding rod in one hand. I’ve always used my standard casting baitcasters with braid for main line then long floro leaders. Was looking to pick up a line counter this year so I’m wondering if I should spool up with mono or all fluorocarbon on it? Also, what’s the difference between the Seagar blue label, red label, and abraz? Is Seagar that much better then the Berkeley Vanish I’ve always used? I hand tie my own stuff and have never had a problem with the cheaper Vanish( landed fish up to 50 lbs on the 100#), diameter is the same as Seagar, only difference I can tell is the huge price difference. Thoughts or suggestions?

I run 80lb braid as my main line and a flouro leader. A line counter reel is a great way to duplicate success, but not required.
