| ive googled this, and have even looked up the specs on my boat and still dont understand it.
i thought it was like from the edge of the boat, to the deepest point inside, but i dont know now

I believe it is the maximum vertical distance from a center point along a horizontal line across the gunnel edges, to lowest point on the boat hull. Most often, it is measured toward the bow where the curve of the nose ends and follows a straight line back to the stern.

| kind of what i was thinking too Steve.
says my alumacraft is 43 inches?. i guess thats possible, but seemed high
especially compared to other boats..
