Posts: 32892 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The Saturday evening dinner and awards ceremony at The Landing was a blast, and the food and drink excellent. Everyone in attendance left with a new Suick lure or one of some other pretty cool prizes. Thanks again to all who attended the Fall Outing, and stand by for some news regarding both outings next year out of Spring Bay resort! Louie, I am wondering if you will ever see that rod....... Posts: 118 | It was really great meeting the handful of you throughout the week. Taking Steve out for that guide trip really paid off. I'd highly suggest taking him out to anyone! I have a feeling the Smoker Craft might have to visit that water again in the future. We raised an absolute pig Saturday night that would've made my 52 blush. Big thanks to Louie (bobbie) and James for helping us out and marking up our map for us. It certainly helped us a ton.

Posts: 32892 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Actually, the crappie bite was a bit off too, we put about 65 in the boat in two days of shooting video and stills for clients (I really don't care if anyone 'approves' of multi-species fishing, we were working....and the crappies we kept made a couple stellar dinners. We would have fished them some anyhow, have to be nuts to ignore a possible 17" plus silver plate), and didn't boat any truly big fish (over 15) this trip. The 3 fronts in 3 days and warmer water leading up to the trip didn't help I think. Keith and I pounded the muskie water hard Saturday, and moved 6. One was a tanker, and she took a couple looks for us. The muskies were tough to convert for us but most certainly showed themselves. Wish we were still there. And there were three caught. That's Vermilion, one week it's hot and another not so much. One thing for sure, every cast could be the ONE.....

Posts: 1311 | Hey Tonts, if you don't end up on the rocks as some point, you're just not trying! Those lures ain't cheap you know. Had a great time as always. Great hosts, great accommodations, great group of guys. Only thing to make it better would be some biters. Just watch out for those kamikaze ducks!
