Designed for trolling, the extra length helps keep your line away from the boat. Works well with planer boards and gives you the flexibility to flatline crankbaits. A powerful butt with a soft, flexible tip makes it a good sucker rig rod. Next time you head to the Thousand Islands, you'll want this rod.

This rod comes as a 7'10" stock, but to make for better castability I had 2" more put on (professionally, by Coren's Rod and Reel) to the butt.
The rod casts big dawgs, large cranks, jerkbaits (suicks to heavy HRs) and heavy spinnerbaits like a champ, but I just purchased a custom diamondback that does this equally well, and I am selling this rod to pay for new electronics that I am putting on the Patriot 1690T.
It is one year old with a fair amount of use on it, it needs the third guide fixed to have a new inner eye put in.
I will be willing to sell it for $125 without the guide fixed, or $145 after I get it fixed (again, professionally at Corens).
Shipping an 8' rod is very expensive, and I would rather sell it to someone local to me (chicago area) or someone who I can drop it off to in the Indiana muskie lakes region or N.WI (be up there at the end of next month).
If you are interested, I can take pics of the rod.
