I was running a 5" Baker square bill 52' back at 3.6 mph this weekend. 80 lb braid. It had got ripped and the fish got off, but I'm curious what you believe the depth it was running with those numbers? I am guessing 12-13' down, but not entirely sure. If any of you have a good idea on the range, I'd like to know. I'd rather not tag bottom with it to find out, as there are a bunch of stumps and what nots that like to eat my baits. TIA.

IDE like to know so that I can put other baits in the same area, but I reckon staggering in the 9-14' range wouldn't be a bad idea either? FWIW, while I stagger baits down deeper, I still keep a Wiley or Leo out off a planer board 4-5' down.

12-13 is spot on.
