Posts: 6 | I'm thinking of getting another boat for using in smaller lakes. I've been looking at some older 14' bass boats. I would like to take it through the channel from Baby lake to Man lake. Does anyone know if this boat would be able to make it under the bridge?

Posts: 20218 Location: oswego, il | The shell lake is the lund as i just looked it up and found out. I have a14ft princecraft as my small boat and it can get under low bridges. That old tuffy Steve mentioned is probably about a low profile as you can get. Posts: 3480 Location: Elk River, Minnesota | Hiya! A year ago last spring, the army corp of engineers pulled the dam on mckeown lake and built a natural barrier. In doing so, they raised the water level about 4 inches making the bridge even tougher to get under. I have not seen a resort boat from baby come through at all since then. They have 6 hp motors on c series Lund boats... Steve

Posts: 735 Location: Apparently where the Muskie aren't | The pic of the lund that ToddM posted is the same boat I duck hunt out of. Well, I don't hunt out of it but I use it to get to where we are going and sometimes that can be some nasty stuff. It's been through some super shallow water, rocks, and it's normally busting through ice at least twice a year. Not to mention it still has a 25 horse Johnson from 77 and still runs good.

Posts: 320 | I had a Lund 315 Guide boat with a 30 hp Mariner tiller. It was made in Shell Lake. I believe Lund bought out Shell Lake Boats in the 70's and put the Lund name on their hulls until they quit making them altogether. It was a great boat to fish out of for small waters. Nice and stable.
