Posts: 27 Location: Oconomowoc, WI | My inlaws just booked a cottage on Stanley for a week in August. I read the post about Chicagon and the area and it had some good info. Is it worth putting in time on Stanley? If anyone can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it! Tom

With that said, caught quite a few walleye and bass on lures around the wood from laydowns and did catch a musky.

Posts: 431 | Next time Im up there Ill bring my crayfish traps and put a dent in them. Tastiest invasive species control you can do and pretty fun! There must be some huge smallies on Stanley then too Id think.

Posts: 20211 Location: oswego, il | Nothing i caught was really big but it was fun to fish. Camp lake right next to it suffers from the same problem with crayfish. They are good eating, boil and eat! Edited by ToddM 2/13/2017 9:23 AM

Posts: 27 Location: Oconomowoc, WI | Thanks for the info, I may try a little for muskies or just have fun with the smallies. Maybe I'll trailer over to another lake at some point.

Posts: 27 Location: Oconomowoc, WI | Im heading up this weekend for a week with the family. I was debating going to Chicagon or Emily. With my skill it sounds like Emily might be easier to fish. Does anyone have any advice or tips? I am willing to travel a little. Is there a bait shop nearby as well? I will be putting in some time on Stanley as well. Feel free to PM, and thanks for the help!!!!

Good thing Rollie's doesn't sell Kramers
