Posts: 32958 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Was just out with the brush mower trying to trim the lot lines, SHEESH it is hot. I am hoping BIG TIME for a cool down before the Sabaskong trip.

Posts: 129 Location: Bemidji, MN- | I went out on Cass Lake this morning. There was no wind and no cloud cover, so it got hot really fast. I decided that today would be a better day for cold beer, so I hung it up and headed home.

Posts: 136 | Too hot for the fish as well. Water temps in the 80's are dangerous to the fish as well. I'm holding off until I head back to the northland on sunday... Kinda tough to do but it is for the right reason.

Posts: 5874 | I think it even affected the salmon on the Big Pond this morning. Took my brother out for his birfday, and only went 3/3. All on the same Green/Glow Ladderback Pro King. What a difference a weeks worth of east winds, and hot temps make. We were off by 9:30.

Posts: 477 Location: Iowa | Too hot to fish here! That don't happen often, but the wifey had something to say about it too. Bummed a pleasure boat ride today and just relaxed with a few brews and the wonderful views you can expect to see on any river with pleasure boats.

Posts: 32958 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | It cooled down into the low 70's with a front going through, and is now about 73 or so. Sue and I hit the water for the last two hours of light. Beautiful sunset, and WEEDS chopped up everywhere. We saw two, one that cleared the water by a foot with my Awaker in it's face, only to toss it before it hit the water. Cool hit, though.

Posts: 2061 Location: Belgium | sponge, 38-39°C = 102.2F, 23°C = 73.4F so a difference of +/-29F over a two day period. The weather has indeed gone crazy. We hardly have a winter (if the snow remains present for two weeks in the Ardennes, it's a great winter by our standards) and the summers seem to be hotter than ever

Posts: 32958 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | 90's today and tomorrow, then a welcomed cool down. I am in Illinois and Kansas anyway this week, but WOW it has been warm. The mosquitos after the big rain we had two weeks ago are now about ths size of sparrows. There seems to be about a gillion-gazinty-million of them. And what is UP with the East winds? What a weird summer so far. Sponger, you melt out there yet?
