Hey Scotty, I'll be there that same weekend, fishing PI also. My advice would be that if the skies are clear and sun is high, go elsewhere except early morning and sunset.
Me and my father are taking out Howie Meyer (www.sevenislandsguideservice.com) for one of the days out there, he's the best in the area, and Presque Isle can be a BEAR anytime of the year. If you can afford it, I would say taking him out for a full, or even half day, is a good investment.
OTHERWISE, my plan is to hit the sharpest breaks and mid-lake structure with cisco or black colored suicks (weighted), bulldawgs, and deep diving cranks. What I do remember about PI is that you should be fishing pretty deep....if the boat isn't in 25ft of water or more, you're too shallow. But I am definitely not the one to ask. Presque Isle can be a tough girl to crack, but if nothing else, it is beautiful in the fall (see attached picture).
I'll be in the very white Patriot 1690T with MuskieFIRST stickers on it, stop by and compare notes!

Don't forget to try creatures, especially on the rocky breaks that time of the year.

I would have bet money that was what Sworrall was gonna say...my bulldawgs SCARE your creatures. I think one of my dawgs ate one of your creatures last time I was at your place.

Slamer said stay away on bright sunny days, but I disagree. On theses days you can have some of your best fishing on clear water. Do not be afraid to go shallow either.

I agree with Travis, I've had some of my best days on gin clear water with the sun shining and yes they can be shallow. I Look for the active shallow fish early and move out to the breaks if I don't move any shallow.
