Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | Time to do some good and get a chance at some great stuff coming to the OutdoorsFIRST Community this December!!!
This is at the earliest of early planning stages at present, but we just wanted to make an announcement of our plans to run an online auction in the chat room this December, with the 10th being our preliminary date. The last 2 auctions have been a great success mostly in part to the hard work of guys like Steve Cady and others (Esox14, Schuler and JimK all put in some much appreciated effort to help out) and this time around we only want to do better!
In addition to the online auction, we are planning on a set number of guide trips and get-away packages that will be bid on run during a set time frame in an Ashton Auction Forum. To the best of my knowledge some big fish, and some great times were had by those who not only won items in the online auction, but also purchased guided trips and the getaways that we in the silent auction forum.
If anyone would be so gracious as to volunteer to help out with this winter's effort, please email me direct ([email protected]) or call me anytime via cell phone at 847/989-9271.
Also if anyone has any positive advice or suggestions please feel free to add them to this thread, or once again call or email me direct!
Thanks to all those who have either bidded on or won auctions in the past, or donated their time or products, or who have helped us in organizing or ....the last 2 auctions have brought in alot of help to a very worthy cause (more info on little Ashton will follow soon enough) and lets just try to make this auction that much bigger and better. Let's show the fishing world what a warm hearted and giving group is growing and developing here within the OutdoorsFIRST family of web communities!

Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | The online live chat works like this: in the chat room, items are auctioned off one by one, people in the chat room can bid as they items come up, just type in your bid, winner at the end will then contact us to tell us where to ship the item that you send your money to the ashton fund for.
Silent Bidding on the Site: threads will run within the Ashton Forum, once they are open to bidding, you can post to the thread your bids, and the highest bid at the end of the amount of time allotted wins.
