Posts: 7038 Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | Made it out for a few hours on the big lake, got 2 coho then wimped out on chasing far offshore. Yesterday I washed a few lures on the beautiful Fox Chain and saw one chasing my bait, one decomposing in the water. How did everyone else do?

Posts: 841 Location: Southwest PA | Three fish during the post frontal conditions on Memorial day. None over 40" but man did it feel good to get on the board and to have a three fish day to boot! Wish I had a better volunteer for the first fish release picture, it had signs of stress so I didn't take it out of the water. The third fish had a heck of a fight in outflow current so I just pulled it up on the rocks enough to get a pic on my own since no-one was around. It's nice seeing a lot of different sized fish in one small area of water. Lost a huge one, I thought was a snag until my line starts moving to the right, I see a big tan body, I set the hook and get smacked in the face with my depth raider hahaha Edited by Tommis 5/30/2017 11:47 AM Attachments ---------------- 1st_fish_resized2017.jpeg (148KB - 477 downloads) 3rd_fish_resized2017.jpg (215KB - 476 downloads) 2nd_fish_resized2017.jpeg (105KB - 468 downloads)

Posts: 815 Location: Waukee, IA | Walleye, crappies and white bass on Sunday. Also got an 8lb channel cat on a crankbait that gave me visions of a trophy walleye, only to just be a whiskered menace

Posts: 705 Location: Alex or Alek? | Spent opening morning on yellow lake with nothing to show besides getting cut off by maybe 50 yards and proceeding to watch that boat catch a decent fish not 5 min later. Most frustrated I've ever been while fishing. Spent the rest of the weekend hoping between other lakes in the area coming in contact with 4 fish in total with no dumb ones.

Location: Northern Wisconsin | http://muskie.outdoorsfirst.com/catch-and-release/Casting-with-Jerk... Got a 46" and saw another about same size. Spent some time shallow with small lures and didn't have any action so I put on a 13" rubber bait and went to a deep shoreline.

Posts: 255 | Got a 40 Saturday morning. Missed my phantom at 8. Got breakfast and got it at 1130. Low follow Monday morning, better size. 30 plus inch northern. 7.5 hours on water over weekend. New weeds, shallow.

Boated 39.5 and had eyes on a total of 10 fish in 8 hours. All were small like 20 to mid 30's. Very odd for a historical big fish low numbers lake.

Posts: 470 | 2x 30" fish in the bag and yanked the lure out of a low 40's fish's mouth at boat side. Weather shut it down after, didn't move anything the rest of the weekend. RandalB

Posts: 105 Location: Jane Lew, WV | Had a few obligations this weekend, only able to fish one morning. Saw a mid 30's last second boatside and that sums it up. Big weekend coming up, see if we cant get one to go.

Posts: 1168 | Weekend was decent. Found fish in and on different stuff as shallow as a foot and a half and as deep as 20 feet. Didn't have the time to look any deeper than that and by Monday the wind was a bit prohibitive to do any more searching. It was really nice fishing on opening weekend with water temps in the 50's and low 60's as opposed to some years when they've been in the 70's on the same body of water.

Posts: 1425 Location: St. Lawrence River | We put 1 37'' in the bag, and some bonus smallies. Some of the smallies, not so small.

Posts: 10 | Put 48" of muskie in the boat Memorial Day (only day I was out), unfortunately in the form of a pair of 24 inchers. Weather was very erratic, didn't even see a fish of any size (had one other little guy follow). Hard to tell if it was the weather or where/how I was fishing that there weren't any bigger fish. On the plus side, it appears the 2015 stocking class was a strong one. On the downside, I have some work to do on my average fish size.

Posts: 390 | Had the best opener I have ever had, 11 fish in the bag between 40 - 49.5" in 4 days of fishing between 3 guys. Missed/lost at least a dozen more! Though we did put in 22 hours opening day! Edited by bbeaupre 6/3/2017 9:19 AM

Posts: 390 | Not a pro and fished 3 different locations on the bay. Best luck Ive ever had in a week, Not sure if we were just lucky or had the magic lure/touch as I had other friends put in similar hours on the same body of water with much different results. Its exciting because Im normally the other guy! Edited by bbeaupre 6/5/2017 12:16 PM
