| No damage done here. I fished Rollie & Helens. Broke one off on Saturday at about 7:45 AM. Bad spot in my line I guess. Retied Friday night but must have nicked the line in the boat in the morning. Froze our butts got seriously snowed on, but hade a great time anyway.
As always, Let em go...Let em grow..........Mike |

| Duck hunted early Sat. morning. Came home changed clothes, boats and headed out. Very windy conditions, spent time casting and trolling to no avail [:((]
Weeds in the shallows were turning really brown and I found some patches of deeper green weeds but no fish. Went to a favorite mid-lake hump and marked a few baitfish and 3 really big fish not far from there about 16-22 feet down so I started trolling but never had a strike.
Talked to some guys that were working tight to cover and dragging "meat" and they never saw a fish and were there longer than I was.
This Friday I'm off to the crandon area, maybe hook up with sworrall on Friday.

| Boated one short fish on Sat. fishing with the Muskymidget but other than that all we did is freeze. Actually we had a great time even though the toothy ones were not showing themselves. Midget does have some serious Tone problems in his singing voice but that's another story. Thank god noone else was at the Bowling lanes on Friday night. |

| Oooo. Good point Steve. There was alot of damage done to my ego after almost being booed off stage in Minoqua after singing karoke on Friday night.
No matter how bad my singing was, I still had fun !!! []

| Here’s a pretty neat story:
Wasn’t planning to fish, but my wife’s 16 year old cousin, Dan, was up from down south and wanted to try musky fishing. I took him out Sunday from 10:00 to 1:00. He raised one about 32 or so and I raised one about 30. 15 minutes before we had to pull out, we had a sucker pick up right how it is supposed to happen. Bin-Laden our sucker was picked up and heading for deep water. I applied light pressure to the fish to see what we had and give Dan a look at the fish before we lost it after the hookset which is what usually happens to me and my buddies, as we don't fish suckers that often. I raised it just high enough to see it was a very nice fish, mid-forties. As soon as Dan saw the fish the excitement picked up. I let the fish slide back down deep and tried handing the rod to Dan. I had explained to him many time throughout the day that when we had a sucker hit, it was his and I told him what to do. He wouldn't take the rod from me. He said "that's to nice a fish, I don't want to $#@% it up. I asked him if he was sure, because this fish sure would make a nice first fish. He said no he would rather just see it close up in the boat. I told him ok, but I would probably $#@% it up anyway. I reeled down and laid it to her, and then did it again. She came up to the surface and the 20 inch sucker looked small T-Boned in her mouth. I horsed her to the boat and Dan slipped the net under her like he had done it 100 times before, even though the biggest fish he had ever netted was a 30 inch northern. Once in the net the fish thrash a couple of times and was unhooked. She measured 44 inches and gave my 44 inch tiger a good run for the money as the heaviest fish I have handled this year.
It was an awesome day and I am pretty sure we have another Musky nut added to our ranks.

| The wind and snow made it a real
tough day on saturday. Seen a few
but no takers...Sunday was very
nice but I wasted my time watching
the Vikings and then the Packers.
I think I'll go fishing next week! |

| I got on the water around 10:30am and started the day out great, my buddy had a mid 40" fish follow and then caught two northern and a bass. Thought for sure the day would be great. From there fishing slowed down until about three went a sucker rig was picked up jigging it, the fish did not take the bait completely and I am not going to wait so I ripped the lips off the sucker, no fish. Then decided to troll before we went in, big hit, great fight, and my personal best was in the boat, 46.5" and fat as can be, right around 30 pounds, easily the heaviest fish I have ever caught! back in the water to make my week![:p] Great day |

|
| Saturday we boated one small fish and had one follow and it turned and chased a sucker that there was no way in hell that it could eat. Sunday we boated a little bigger small fish and a nice northern and lost one we never saw but it felt good. |

| A friend talked me into trying some salmon fishing from the shore in Racine and I scored a big zero, saw a bunch jump and another guy catch a couple, but all I did was break-in the long underwear. |

| Got seven muskies this past weekend near Philips WI. Biggest was a beefy 43.5"er(homemade bait). Still had action on top with temps at 49.5!!!! Had a big fish break a snap on a Hellraiser bucktail(it was on my buddies sucker rod). Hopefully she's alright. |

| We enjoyed our time Saturday in the arctic circle in the gale on Pewaukee Lake, I don't think that I have warmed up yet! I got my brother in law into his first muskie in 25 years, a hefty 41"er on a 5" Slammer. Another small legal missed an Undertaker.
Sunday morning was colder temperature wise, but warmer feeling without a wind. The skies were the definition of "bluebird skies", or as I call them skies from hell! We helped a young lady boat her first muskie, which gave her quite a battle on a Doghouse Bucktail. It was just short of 50".......by about 23"! It was special to her. We saw 4 others. The best time to go is when you can. |

| I too fished the Phillips area, but didn't have Jason's luck. Water temps in the high forties. Jason, did you fish my little pond at all? I managed a couple follows on cranks and jerks. One blewup on a TopRaider, but no hookup. Do they make eyeglasses for Muskies? I've had so many misses this year!

| Lake X was turning over hard. I'm pretty sure all the fish left the lake. They probably headed to the nearest tavern. I didn't see anything. A 50" was caught and released by a walleye fisherman on Lake X's sister lake Friday. The sister lake had already turned and was 48 degrees.
Tried circle hooks for the first time on Sunday afternoon at Presque Isle. Had one fish take, but I didn't hook it. The fish hit in 42ft. of water about 30ft. down. I'll be back there in Nov. to catch her. Hopefully my contribution of a free meal will help fatten her up a bit. |

| JAson,
went out three times this weekend. Caught a cracker (33") on Saturday there was some snow in the air and also caught my biggest bass ever, 6lbs on a grim Reaper 950. Sunday I fished the Kawarthas and got a 34" on a Topraider. Suprised the heck out of me......Monday, uneventful
