Posts: 4080 Location: Elko - Lake Vermilion | I used to buy the cheaper ones for around $80-90... Last year I went to Interstate Batteries for more money and can't be happier. I get a lot more run time per charge now.

Posts: 258 Location: Mayville, WI | Walmart Everstart Maxx - the same thing as Interstates (made by same company), just a different colored plastic case on them (for some sizes), lower initial cost, better warranty, and there's walmarts everywhere if one happens to go bad. Just replaced my Interstates with the Everstart Maxx this year on mine - nothing but good to say about them so far. sc Edited by scmuskies 10/20/2015 11:28 AM

Posts: 192 | Everstart maxx also!!! Last I knew or heard there was only two battery suppliers in America that make them for all different brands besides your amg or optimas but I may be wrong .

Posts: 228 | Wal Mart Maxx. Bought a pair of 29's one and a half years ago. Started having trouble on vacation. Took them to the local Wal Mart and 1 was bad. Mentioned they should be replaced in pairs and said they would just send them back to the manufacturer and he agreed. Gave me 2 brand new ones! Good service. 2 year warranty! ...and a lot cheaper too! Bob

Posts: 295 | Advanceauto.com always has online coupon codes for at least 30-50% off everything and you can pick it up in the store. The last two 29's i bought were under $45 each with the code. I buy everything on that site and by the time i get to the store they have it all bagged up and ready to go and i save almost 50% on everything. Great deal.

Posts: 3518 Location: north central wisconsin | I'm with Nelson. After having run Dekkas for years with good results(before my source dried up), then switching to Walmart yellow everstart maxx batteries with minimal to marginal satisfaction, I am on year 4 of my first set of Duration AGM's from Farm and Fleet, and they're still seemingly as strong as day one(alot of recharges). I'll be purchasing these same batteries for the other boats come spring 2016.

Posts: 897 | You guys still having good luck with the Duration AGMs from Farm and Fleet? Is it worth the extra $35 per battery over the Interstate SRM-29's? I'm putting new batteries in a Ranger 621 with a 101 Terrova I-Pilot. Edited by whynot 4/19/2017 9:39 AM

Posts: 983 | I found size 29 marine batteries at advanced auto that have 210min capacity which is the highest number I could find on reserve capacity local...think the Interstates were 160 capacity...They are $117 each which #*^@ cheap and you can use $40 off $100 code on each one and get them for $77 each thats $155 for 2 New marine deep cycle batteries you cant go wrong.....

Posts: 897 | Last boat I had I put Interstates in. They're great batteries. In my experience I would get 3 or 4 years out of them. I'm looking at AGM batteries, and specifically the ones Nelson recommended, because they're only $25-35/battery more and they come with a 2 year full warranty, 4 year prorated warranty, and AGMs are supposed to last longer. I've had the cheaper batteries crap out much faster than I expected, and at inopportune times.

Location: Contrarian Island | from my experience AGMs last longer. and you never have to d*ck around checking fluid ... I ran one set of Trojan AGMs when they made them 7 full seasons... and I fish a lot... to me, AGMs are the only way to fly.. I read the reviews on the ones above..didn't sound so hot... but give em a go...let us know a year or 2 in every single person I know that uses flooded cell batteries has had issues ... guys that run AGMs.. pretty much never. me included. batteries are one of the things I will never skimp on... ever been on a trip and had battery issues? ya it sucks. piece of mind is huge to me...buying the cheapest products in any category usually doesn't end so well....
