Hi all -

Pretty new to trolling and Muskie first in general. Look forward to learning some info amd contrinuting the little knowledge i have of the musky world. Anyways I am a little confused about the regulations in wi on trolling. Is it at all possible to troll 2 lines in wi of tour fishing alone? The regs say 3 hooks, baits or lure per person. Does this mean I can troll a spinnerbait with 1 hook and like a Jake or slammer with 2 trebled (take one of the three trebles off) I appreciate any help!

Thanks,
tcbetka

If you know "a guy" you can get whatever class fireworks you want. Ive seen multiple 8" plus mortars get sent into the air in my nayborehood from homemade launchers.

Wisconsin has an interesting law on this stuff. You can technically "possess" larger mortars but it's illegal to transport them and to use them with a few exceptions...I'll get to that in a bit. Since it's illegal to transport them it pretty much negates the possession thing. But....

There are some exceptions to this. For 10 bucks (at least that's what it was a year or two ago) you can buy a license to transport them. A lot of fireworks dealers who carry this sort of thing sell the licenses and then will knock 10 bucks off of your final purchase.

The other loophole is that you can use the stuff for religious or agricultural purposes so a license isn't (or at least wasn't) needed as long as you obey local laws which means you'll have to fire them off on private land away from a town. So if you don't own a farm simply start your own religion and have a religious observance.

Or...make your own fireworks. That's tons of fun as well.

Unfortunately I do not have very much line of site to the trolling regulations in WI. Worst comes to worst call the DNR ahead of time and ask what you can do on any certain lake you want to fish.

As you can tell, trolling is a hot topic here

Hello there and welcome to the site as you have already figured out there are a lot of clowns on here anyhow most trolling regulations in the state of WI are lake or county specific, you may even have 2 lakes next to each other where one lake allows 3 lines per person and the other is 2 lines per person, some of the northern WI lakes specifically Vilas county you are only allowed 1 line per person with max 2 per boat even if you have 5 people on your boat you can only have 2 lines so it would be best to check regulation for the exact body of water you plan on fishing, all that info is available online just type in name of lake and county it is in and then go to DNR link and check regulations
