Hey everybody I just got a used terrova off Craigslist. It has a pilot and I can't get any power to the foot pedal. I plugged it in and unplugged it multiple times and nothing happens. I'm hoping this is operator error but I can't get this thing to do anything any suggestions on where to start?

well there may be a fuse for the pedal, or your pedal is shot. terrovas are pretty simple i couldn't imagine its your fault. if your still at home you need to at least semi deploy the motor off the mount since there is a power cut off while stored. call mk customer service if problem persists.

So the remote works and operates the motor? Did you look for cuts in the cable or missing pins in the connector?

Yes everything looks to be normal and in good shape, the remote does everything it should and no issues other than the pedal

Have you actually checked for power with a test light or voltmeter? Otherwise we've had problems where sand gets in there and disrupts contact I believe.

You probaly already tried this but it could be as simple as giving it a light cleaning. I had mine out last year and the foot pedal wouldn't do anything so I just took it apart right there on the water and put it back together (didn't even really clean it) and it worked fine. Mines a very old (early 2000s) and all I did was take as much as I could comfortable apart and put it back.

I took it apart quick and it was very clean... i dont think thats the issue.

I dont have a test light or voltmeter.

I have a buddy who is going to let me borrow his pedal tto see if his will work... im just praying its not the control board. I guess thats what you get when you buy used....
