Location: NeverNever Lake | Luhr Jensen made it, anyone ever use one ? A friend told me it was the hottest topwater he has ever seen and was sad to learn that I just won one on ebay. This is an old one with props on the front and rear. I noticed they started making them again but with only one prop on the rear.

| Raze, there is a marina near here that used to carry them; I'll be up there camping the weekend of the 22nd, so remind me during the up coming couple weeks and I'll get you a couple if they still have the older ones. Like Tuffy spoke, they were peacock killers in Panama! |

| Raze, how's the summer treatin' you? i have a wood chopper...
I dont' throw it much. It just doesn't have enough action/sound or whatever for me to throw. They just have a fairly subtle buzz on the front, and the back...but i know buzz baits catch a lot of fish.
I have bigger buzzers, so when the time calls for for a buzzer, i usually grab a different one than the wood chopper. I have probably throw it 200 casts, so not much. no eaters.
However, w/ the long body, it should be a good hook up bait. Plus, i seem to get a lot of follows on baits like jackpot and doc when they just come in straight, so add a few buzzers to that straight surface retrieve....you're a musky nut, just buy one!!!!

Location: Lafayette, IN | Fellas, I haven't caught dozens of fish like a lot of you but when I pull out the Woodchopper it's because I think the conditions I'm facing include some positive fish and subsurface weeds and/or stained water. I usually "rip" it like the peacockers do down south. Haven't caught one yet on it but maybe someday. |
