Location: With my son on the water | If the guide is still solid which I would expect it is, epoxy if you have it. Keep an eye on it and at some point you may want to replace it. It seems like I replace a few guides on our assortment of rods every year. You will be amazed if you ever replace a guide how securely they are installed and what a challenge it is to get them off so I would not be real nervous about it. But you do want to seal things up to prevent water from getting in or the guide could rust and fail. If you get to the point of replacing it look up the guys at Mudhole and they will help you get what you need (Great guys). Mudhole also has a bunch of videos that walk you through all the steps of replacing a guide.
As always if you have a question send me a note, and certainly have a good day.

| Like Brad said, a little sealer of some type will be fine for now. I would go with a clear nail polish, super glue or a clear vinyl jig finish like a head cement for fly tying. |

| I popped a guide on my double 10 rod on the first day of a trip a few years back. Came right off and was rattling around on the line. Re-attached it with braid and Samantha's nail polish. Used the rod all week, caught quite a few fish.
If I were you, I'd just seal the cut with 5 min epoxy and worry about the guide when it comes loose, which may be never. |

To clarify, I have only had to replace guides because the Rings (internal area where the line runs) most of the time come out and when they do (yup) stay on the line and rattle on the rod. I have never had the mounting feet on a rod move.
Enjoy your day.
