What side is your kicker on and why? I'm putting a 20 HP Suzuki kicker connected to main for steering with controls on console on my boat and have to decide. Most people I know have it port side but I'm seeing some on TV on the starboard side one that comes to mind is on The Next Bite but I think that was a tiller.

I put mine on the Starboard side so the guy fishing out of the back doesn't have to deal with it during figure 8s.

I had a ranger 1860 that I mounted the kicker on the starboard side. It leaned quite a bit after I did. If you have a bigger boat, that's where I'd put it but, anything smaller, I'd put on the port side.

I put my 9.9 on the port side since I have a Talon on the starboard side. I only use mine when I am fishing HP-restricted lakes a couple times per year.

No one I know has a kicker on the starboard side but in the 3 fishing shows I caught parts of today all kickers were on the starboard side. I'm hoping I can install on port side because of transducers and folding ladder on starboard side. I guess it will depend on the controls for the two motors and hope the dealer knows what he is doing.

I have an older (2003) Pro V tiller and it has a kicker mounted on the starboard side. That is where the factory mounted plate is located. I bought it used so have no back story on it but with the position of the seat for a tiller, I think starboard is the only area that makes sense.

always PORT for me. offsets my weight when operating. i fish out of allot of boats from the back with port side kickers and have never had a problem figure 8'g with the motor.

its all about equally distributing weight, can be offset with battery placement in some boats

Mine is on the port side. I have a big 31 series battery and some other gear on the starboard side. It's all about balancing the weight.
