What's your personal best this year, and what were your goals? I think we are about 1/2 way through the season at the end of July, time for a program check! The best fishing of the year lies ahead, what do plan to do to meet your goals?

I'm having a decent season with most every fish near or in the 40's, but haven't cracked the 50 mark, lost a couple of big fish that were there. I'm not complaining at all with so many 40's. Losing big fish will just bring you to you're knees though. I had a couple sows on this spring.

My goals were to get on more fish, which I have. I've almost averaged a fish a day this year. Studying hard and fishin' hard has helped alot. I guess I've been lucky with the weather as it's been this year. Talking to everyone on the boards has helped alot too. Lots of good info, I've learned alot to say the least. There is just so much to learn. I've been fishing for 25 years and those fish still make me feel like I don't know anything.

My biggest goal this year is landing fish in the 50's consistently, talking about not making mistakes and boating a few each year. I plan on getting on them by keeping my nose to the grindstone and it will happen. It's all about seat time and dedication. I'm just hoping this fall will treat me well...

Good fishin',

Tyler Campbell

My best was a 48"er this May. I haven't been able to get out quite as much this summer, but I have 17 in the boat so far. This fall should bring more time on the water to smack the 50 on Okauchee. Time on the water definately helps though. I was on fish until June when I could hit the water 3-4 times a week. 0 to 1 times on the water in July= 2 fish in the boat. Have seen a few this month, just not many in the boat.
More will come soon.
Good Lungen,
Joel

So far my best this year is 45" and a number of mid 30" fish. Goal this was to finally break that 50 inch mark after 18 years, but there is a lot of season left.

Of the 6 I have caught, my biggest has been a humungous 35"er. Biggest in the boat has been 38, hope to do better this weekend.

My biggest this year is a pathetic 38", though I have hardly been on the water with this stupid back of mine. Bigger and brighter future is on the way, I plan on making up for it in Canada.

Only been out twice in my life so there's a lot of room for improvement but:
32" from Moose (Itasca cty, MN) last month.
34+" from Cedar (Scott cty, MN) last week.

BTW, do you make a distinction between full bloods and tigers ?

Biggest this year is the 46.5" from LOTW.

Haven't been out much since the 4th of July. Waiting until late summer to beat the Twin City Metro lakes to a froth.

Hoping to crack the 50" mark this fall.

48" out of Minnetonka. I have seen a few fish this year that were bigger then the one I caught and I plan to nail at least one of them before the year is up.

Only one at 28" for me. My goal is always that elusive 50" mark; however right now I'd be happy with numbers. My longest trip is yet to come around Labor Day.

Of the 6 I have boated this year 40" is my biggest so far.  And my first 40'er was really my only goal this year, which I finally did.  Anything else this year is a bonus!  How about you sworrall?  Have you met any goals this year?

This year has been exceptional for long fish for the boat. So far I have caught a 52, 50, 49 X 26, 48.5, 48, 47.5, and on down. Also have had 2 more at 50" come aboard and another 52". Cant wait for the fall bite.

I am really sad to say it but ive only landed 2 this year and both from shore although i have led people to 2 others. My biggest was 38in. My friends got a 43in and a 40in. see justins post. My goal was to catch 15 and perhaps break 45in. I now hope to break 40in and catch 5.
