Well.....The winner of the young vs. old outing by default is Ghoti. He was the only one to show up!!!!!! Boy was that a flop, good thing I didn't get a bunch of food. Hopefully we can try this again someday with a little more participation.

So, by default, MuskieMedic and Ghoti have a set of MuskieFIRST decals on the way this week. Tough time of the year to get folks together, as many are vacationing or just getting back, etc. Thanks for the effort, next year we will fill the event!

Steve,

JimK was with me as my partner. Ghoti stayed and fished the Pete since he launched his boat already, and JimK and I went north to get out of the wind and tried some numbers lakes for Matchfishing.

I guess that means, by default, my 26" channel cat, caught on a spinner bait, was the winner.. Put on over 40 miles on the boat exploring an awful lot of pea soup water with only the cat and a few snagged carp scales for my efforts.

Welcome to my world boys!:O Know how you feel too; been going to family reunions for nigh daggone 50 years, and to this day I've been the only one to show up. Not going next year, 'cause everytime I leave, when I get back the locks are changed and I have to bust a window to get in the hootch. Next get together, I'll purchase a 6 pak of sponges and really party down...

Ghoti, it was good to meet you, and glad you at least got some form of slime in your boat. lol I wish muskiemedic and I could learn how to keep fish on the line. Man, we had our chances, just couldnt do anything with them. Oh well thats muskie fishing for ya.

Would a fall outing work better for everyone next year?????

Jim K. and M.M.--enjoyed chatting with both of you. Sorry your match fishing wasn't more successful. I think trying to find a mutually acceptable date will be pretty hard without a lot more sincere interest. It hasn't worked in the past either. M.M.--hope the back surgery is successful and that you have a rapid recovery... keep us posted.
