I am considering buying a new 17.5 ft deep aluminum with a ETech 135 HO. I've been a Merc guy all my life but am considering switching over to this power plant. Anyone run one? The other option would be a new Merc Pro XS 115. Max hp on the boat is 135. Thanks.

Location: Not where I want to be!
Can't help with 135 but I do have a 2013 150 e-tec. Can't say enough. Quiet, great on gas, easy to winterize, and lots of low end power. If you run Lowrance electronics you can buy the interface and you can get your motor info to display on you units. Plus you don't have to listen to that opti compressor all day.

I've run E-Techs for years no problems at all and the easiest motor to winterize you can find.
