Posts: 3928 | I headed back to Three Lakes to try my luck with MuskyE and Fish On. E score a couple, 35.5 and 38, I believe. Lynn had plenty of action but nothing in the boat. I had 5 follows and a 35". The highligt of the weekend was when we were handing E's Dad's boat over to his family at the dock. Couple people on the dock, couple people on the boat, one or two people halfway between the dock and the boat. It was then that E hoisted his musky bait box (it looks kind of like a gray refrigerator that's fallen over) from the floor of the boat and he steps over on the the dock. And there goes the dock, falling part-way over into the water as E jumpes back into the boat (save the baits!!). As soon as E got back on the boat, the dock stopped falling over. No one was hurt badly, but some folks got a little wet. I think E has too many baits, don't you? He has a nice family, too. Don't tell them, but I'm going to build them a device to launch pesky chipmunks from the deck of their camper.

Posts: 1996 Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | All I've got to say about this weekend is AAAARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!! Too many boats, too many jet skiers, too many inconsiderate people, not enough clouds or wind. Now I remember why I hate fishing the 4th weekend. For the first time I remember I took the boat off the water at 5:00 on Sunday leaving the lake to the pleasure boaters. I had enough. There, I'm done whining now. Moved some fish on Thursday night, one a solid 4 footer (client set early on a Top Raider), and again on Saturday night. All of my fish activity was right at dusk and into dark. Anybody trying the night bite yet? I would think it would be hot.

Posts: 32958 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I spent Saturday on the Goon working over the bass, walleyes, and pike. The muskies ignored me completely no matter what I did, even though conditions looked really primo. Sunday we drove back dodging moose on 502. What a great trip!

Posts: 2378 | Spent 3 days on Vermillion without so much as seeing a muskie. Caught one SMALL pike. I feel like a total loser. Not very good for my first time out this year. Hopefully it turns around quick.

Posts: 125 Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota | I spent 2 full days fishing Mille Lacs with little success. The weed growth is still pretty limited and the fish haven’t seemed to move into their summer spots yet, or at least I couldn’t find them. All we managed to put in the boat was a 39-inch pike we pulled from one of the rock reefs.

Posts: 2691 Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | I had some good luck this weekend on Sunday, first time I put 5 muskie in the boat the same day. The first was a client 37 3/4 incher just before a storm that chased us off the water at the end of the 4 hours. The second two were with a friend, Mark caught one 34 and I got one 36 inches. I dropped him off and spent some time with my family then went back out and scored a 38 and a fat 42 incher just before dark. What a day !!! I am going out with my som as soon as I get dome with this computer. Se Ya.

Posts: 419 Location: Appleton, WI | Hey Ranger have you ever seen how much Eric eats? That would explain some of the problem also.ha,ha,ha. Good to hear you guys got into some fish. Looks like Eric is still popping fish that's good. He's a fun guy to fish with even when he seems to boat all the fish. catch ya later, Krappie

Posts: 3928 | Eric DOES get a lot of action, but I think it's because he spends so much time refining his techniques on the water. Plus he carefully listens to information from others. I sure learned a lot from watching him.

Posts: 20281 Location: oswego, il | We fished some small lakes in the mercer area, boated five, lost two, plenty of pike and a nice smallie. Nothing big. Got one musky on a zalt but fish really wanted bucktails, even the smallie.
