Subject: 2003 Honda Corrrosion

I have a pair of 2003 Honda 130hp on a boat that I keep on Lake Erie, the boat was in the water from May until the last of Sept. When I washed the slime off the outboards both lower units are showing a lot of corrosion on the lower units directly in front of the propellors, Honda may be sending a tech down to look at them. Has anyone else seen anything like this on Hondas.

I don't know enough about this subject, but have read a bit about it recently, so here's my guess, and it might be a stupid one, but here it is.

I think you're grounds might not be all that great, and the sacrificial anodes might not be doing their job due to rather high voltage in the water around the boat.

Is it glass or aluminum? I'm assuming glass with two 130's.

Good fishin',

Tyler
