Interesting I noticed these on a number of pro walleye boats recently. Didn't know what they were until you posted this and I googled it. Supposed to quiet the motor I guess. Could definitely be a benefit for a following Muskie.

It helps absorb some of the vibration from the flex of the propeller. Suppose to keep it a little quieter and run a little cooler.
