Looking to change my dates of going to Lake of the Woods for next year and am wondering if anyone has stayed at Miles Bay Camp.

Location: New Hope MN | I've stayed there for a week and i would go back. We did the housekeeping plan. It's dirt cheap and frankly they could raise their prices a little. Cabins are on the small side. No indoor toilets, so you have to use stinky outhouses...
It's nothing fancy, but if you just want a place to sleep and dock your boat, this is the place.
The owners are good people, but they don't know anything about fishing. So don't expect any kind of hints or tricks...The husband (names escape me) is a hell of a musician and sometimes puts on a mini concert in the boat house... if you are into that.
Grassy Narrows is an upgrade in just about all ways, but you pay for it. |

Location: Elk River, Minnesota | Trip this year for me was hard work. Hit the bloom full bore. Managed 4 fish, 3 coming on the second day of the trip with the first one on arrival night. Not a single follow all week. The first one hit on the 8, but for the 5 full days, the 3 fush hit away from the boat. Not a single follow...
Trying to see about being back in July instead.. |
