Fishing around here has been a little slow. However things have picked up a little in the last week. The deep trollers seem to be doing fairly well on Deer Lake. This is how the MI June Jam was won. The jig bite on Deer also seems to be doing well. At least 3 fish during the Jam were caught this way. Have also heard that the topwater & bucktail bite has started on the Apple and surronding darker water.

I was out on Deer lake last night.
I lost an Upper 40" fish @ the net. It was my bad, I was fishing the one bucktail that I didn't sharpen the hooks on. The water is very clear on Deer right now. Weeds were visible out to 15'. The action we had was on the Deep weed edge.
