Which triple blade bucktails are people throwing with success, the Apache or the Dadson (single small blade in front of standard double)?

If Apache, which size, 8, 9 or 10? How tough do they pull?

If Dadson, how tough are these to haul in all day?

Thanks for the input...

Steve

I believe the design of the Dadson (small blade in front) is *supposed* to make them easier to pull in due to the small blade cutting resistance. Do they actually work that way? I kind of doubt it, but I bet the Dadson design would pull easier than the other one. I don't have experience with either. Hopefully other, smarter people chime in.

I bought 1 trippel blade I think all 3 are 8s. Blades.it pulls very easy. 1 thing I noticed is you have to reel it in faster to kept the blades turning no fish on it yet but season is not over yet.

Tried a few triple bladers and could never get the blades to spin very good. When the blades did spin it was about the same as any other double blader or easier even.

The Apache is the one of the best bucktails to hit the market since the Dbl CG. Plus believe it or not it has less pull than the standard Dlb 10, this was pointed out by Josh Borovsky. Enough said.

I throw the Dadson Discos quite a bit. In my opinion they are easier to pull in than 10's.

I've been throwing one Gerry made for me..... easier then a double 10..... vibration is different for sure.... quite a few follows, no bites yet.... have about 8 hrs on it....no trouble with blades turning.

The Apaches are amazing! I started using them last season, and now that's pretty much the only Bucktail I use. They pull easier than a twin blade and throw off so much more vibration. A true Game Changer!

We have caught fish on all 3 sizes, but I really like the 8's, and the 12's. They don't make an actual size 10. The 12 pull's similar to a twin 10, maybe even a little less.

I waited for 2 frenzy's for over 3 months , 1 a metallic and 1 a painted, the metallic worked fine , but the painted NOT AT ALL!!!!, I ended up tearing it apart and putting different blades on it. I heard thru the grapevine that he was having problems with painted blades not being balanced and not spinning , found this out after the fact, so lesson learned....overall they do pull easier , both of mine were #8's

I've been throwing the Apaches pretty regularly the past couple years and have caught quite a few fish on them. The 8s and 9s definitely pull easier than double 10s, but as was mentioned above you need to reel them at a higher speed to get the blades moving and keep them running. The 8s/9s are my preferred bait when I'm burning blades because I can achieve a higher speed with far less effort.

I prefer the Apache 12s ("Triple X's" are the actual name, I think) when I want a very big profile and relatively slow speed (especially at night or low light conditions). The profile is much bigger than the Apaches 8s/9s and they are easier to reel in than double 13s (or even some 10s).

They aren't perfect--I still throw a lot of double 10s when I want a slower or moderate retrieve with different profile (especially marabou 10s). But I'm a big believer that they have improved my catch rate, especially pressured waters, because they have a sound and vibration the fish aren't used to yet. I've seen fish do things to Apaches on Minnetonka that you don't see fish do to bucktails even in Canada.

I haven't put a lot of time in on them yet, but the double 9 size is pretty effortless to bring in.
on the 3 that i have, blades start up instantly every time - very easy to sync.

the reduced resistance also makes it easier to do direction changes mid retrieve. and make more drastic speed changes in the 8

Apache 8's have been great for me. Blades start awesome and have been putting the fish in the net!

Maybe I have a dud...but I bought an Apache to try it out, and the blades skip. Quite often actually.
