Location: BLOOMINGTON,IL | Can anyone tell me what cell coverage is like in the Morson area? I'm thought about buying a plan to be able to check in. Is it worth it?
My cell won't be used much, but I have little kids at home and will need to check in here or there. We are staying at moonlight bay across from Mylies place. |

| With my ATT phone last year I had service within 5-7 miles of BVR just to the west of where you will be staying. I had my sprint phone this year with more or less the same coverage. Great for checking in at night but if you like to adventure don't count on having service all day has been my experience with 2 different carriers. |

Location: Waconia, MN | I have Verizon and I use what they call a "Travel Pass" and what it is, is that I get unlimited calls/text and 3 GB a day for $10.00, and if I'm connected to Wifi all day, or if I don't call or text that day it doesn't charge me that $10.00 for the day. The best part is that this plan doesn't work in the US only outside, so I never had to worry about being charged wrong.
I used this this past May when I was in Iceland too, and it was great.

| I've had ATT work in and around the area between Morson/Nestor Falls and the charge is I believe $0.50 a minute and $0.25 for each text sent so communicating with another boat via text is great and relatively cheap, plus it should work in an emergency throughout most of the area.
For the isolunar data, I just take screen shots of every day of my trip before I go.

| I had AT&T last year at Red Wing and had no coverage anywhere near Morson. |
