I spoke with Phillip Schweik today, he wrote down a number for me to see that was over 100,000. I asked him what that was and he told me how much money his tournament partner Pete Hilman and he have won in the musky tournaments in the last 4 years. I guess the money in the industry is here!

If you want to see a really big number, ask them how much theyve spent along the way!

Pete and Phil are a very good team. Sure everybody has expenses when competitively fishing tournaments. But face it it takes money to make money. These guy's are in their element when fishing for Muskies in tournaments. While nobody is going to become too wealthy doing this, its the passion and desire of doing something you enjoy that gets you somewhere otherwise stay home. I have fished all kinds of tournaments and believe that muskie tournaments are the toughest.

I know they have done well in Rollie & Helen's, WMT's, and PMTT's.

They are very consistent in putting fish in the boat during tournaments.

They know northern Wisconsin waters extremely well ... either that or just REALLY lucky =O)

I fish with the meat heads everyday! I'm going to go with lucky! HA! No, seriously, when I fish with those two you can feel the focus on the otherside of the boat. I know Phil is having a good year, 20 legals or so, 5 between 44" and 50.25" in just the last two months and as hard as I try to learn I realize, it just takes time. They both have full-time jobs, one is swing shift, the other, lots of overtime, these guys are doing well with the little time they actually fish. But that's not all they are good at. They're the best friends anyone could ask for. The first thing you hear when the call you on the phone is "Hi, how are you?" I've talked to people for hours who never cared one stitch what or who I was. Thats awesome. I know pre-fishing they've done well on Butternut for this weekend, I'll be pulling for them. As far as expenses. All the tournaments are in WI. They'd be fishing anyway so the only "expense" they really have is entry fees. I'm proud to be part of there team: www.hooksetters.biz . End of story.
