We spent Friday, Saturday, and part of today lake hopping looking for active fish. The Van Lieshout effect ( perpetual high blue skies) was in absolute control, resulting in tough fishing but a great time. Steve and Scott fished hard, and saw several muskies over the weekend, with Theedz catching one today on a Striker after he announced the bait was a decoy and would result in follows only.

We got a topwater fish last night at dark on Nwild's advice to hit the North shore.

We ate way to well, fished way too hard, and never ran out of good conversation. Thanks, guys for your generosity to the Fund, and for a great weekend!!!

A quick thanks to Steve and Sue. The hospitality, friendship and accomodations were second to none. Mr. Van Lieshout, I still ain't skeered of your curse. I'll share a boat with either of you anytime.

Scott

PS SVL, I see the front is still stalled in west Minnesota/Dakotas. When did you say you were headed home??

I have never posted a pic before so I hope this works. I spent the weekend in a friends cabin on Antigo Island on Pelican lake and Saturday morning as I am standing on the dock drinking a cup of coffee I see these guys go fishing on by.

Good meeting you guys on the water. Sure am glad SVL is gone though, I think the clouds rolled in as soon as he left the county. They still didn't move very good for me Sunday night, but managed to miss one on a topwater (actually he missed me).

Thanks alot to Steve and Sue for the awesome hospitality, letting Theedz and I interrupt their perpetual honeymoon, and to Theedz for the great companionship, as well as letting me net his muskie!
I just got home for the first time since last week, from working at a Bankers Convention in St. Paul, MN.
Monday noon, the weather forcast called for flood warnings and major thunderstorms for the afternoon and evening. The skies were ominous as thunder rumbled at noon. The Bankers had a golf outing which I was invited to. For Steve and Theedz entertainment value, the clouds started breaking up by 1:30 PM and were COMPLETELY gone by 3:00 PM!!! The curse continues!........
Thanks again for having Theedz and me for the weekend. It was fabulous.
Steve your Patriot Boat goes so fast, the numbers blew off my watch. Many times during the weekend the boat went so fast that we arrived at our next destination BEFORE we left the last one!
Have fun at the "Goon" next week....I promise not to show up to wreak your weather!

I left St. Paul at 5:00 PM Tuesday. By the time I got back home, Minnesota was covered with storms and tornados! The curse continues.......

Anyone going on a golfing trip just has to invite Steve.

This is not a joke. Pass it on to everyone you know.

My fiance and I are toying with the idea of having the ceremony outside. Perhaps I should send a certain individual the first invitation?

Steve, now there's and idea...

You could make some decent money hiring out on the weekends for weddings, golf outings, barmitzvah's etc.

Theedz, now that is a great idea!
My wife thinks that your idea has merit but wants me to draw the line for events such as: exotic dancer christmas parties; social events involving nudists; and of course anything involving bass fishermen!
Theedz, how much can you get for me as my agent?

I could get at least a penny or two. I think.

Or maybe I'd have to give them a penny or two to let you stay.

Don't remember which right now.
