What does everybody think? When Muskie season is not open do you folks keep sharp fishing for another spieces? I fish for Bass as there are many parralells between the Ski's and the little green fish. Just lighter tackle. What do you all do to keep from going crazy?

I fish, therefore I'm nuts.....Mike

Drinking heavily and smoking tons of cigarettes seems to help a little ;)

I fish Pike for practice and for eating. There are plenty of good Pike lakes in my area. Bass isn't open until June here, so it's walleyes, pike, and crappies until the end of the month for me!

Here in the flatland we can fish for them all year. When the water is hard I hit the sport shows very very hard.

Well last year was my first year of musky hunting. I don't know if it's nessarily a bad thing to have a break from fishing for 2 or 3 months because you can go to shows learn stuff, research stuff on internet, read articles, stock up on different tackle for the upcoming season. The best way put is you kind of need to do your homework. Read the fishing reports. I read some and I was shocked because I stopped by some of the lakes just to visit and shocked they were stocking muskies for a while when I thought they started a year or two ago.
Thats just what I like to do since I'm not a multi-specie angler. Maybe I'll learn later on to fish for walleyes and bass but to much money from my pocket is going to the musky market right now [:knockout:]

I'm like Jason Smith,I go for the Sceamin Drag Burnin King Salmon, then venture to Ohio where the season is always open as long as you have open water.
