| Posts: 304 Location: Lino Lakes, MN | Guy's, Heads up. On Forest Lake Lake 3 public landing on Saturday morning the catalytic converters were sawed off and stolen from a North Metro M.I. mebers Toyota Sequoia. He was parked between two other rigs in the lot while we fished from 5 AM till 12 pm. Watch your stuff and look out for suspicious activity. Call the police if you have any information on this. Thank You Steve p.s. $4300.00 to repair | ||

| Posts: 323 Location: Elk River, MN | In doing some research I found that Toyotas are a popular target for thiefs stealing CC's as they have multiple rather than one like most other vehicles, so Toyota guys be on alert. Terrible that this happens, especially in such public places in the middle of the day. The landing was full that day too Edited by Espy 6/29/2016 11:14 AM | ||

| Posts: 897 | I used to live a block off lake 2. Had a meth house across the street. Those jerks took the 25 horse right off my boat one night. Cut a thick lock to do it too. | ||

| Posts: 84 | Sorry to hear that, for people who don't know catalytic converters have platinum in them and salvage yards and recycling centers give a lot of money for them. In my area this happened and about 30 cars and pickups were hit. You would think the cops would want a alert when they (the CC,s) get turned in for cash from the recycle centers. This is happing everywear, also stealing airbags off of steering wheels (they have gold contacts in them, that's why they are so expensive to replace. Where I worked thieves stole 40 air brake drums that I set out to recycle that weigh 100 lbs apiece and old exhaust pipes about 500 lbs so that's 4500 lbs of metal stolen in one night. Those thieves must have had a double axle trailer like you see cars on to get all that in one night besides a couple of strong dudes to load it. I figured they got over a $1000. From then on we only pit a few out there before we took them to get recycled. Reported to police and far as I know nobody ever caught. | ||

| Posts: 468 | Someone willing to cut a C.C. off of a car or truck, steal a quad, or 25 Horse is probably not in their right mind to begin with. You would have to be pretty far down the road of addiction to resort to these measures. Be prepared, travel safe. | ||
