| I used the 8Braid (not the new evo) for the last 3 seasons. Great line, exellent durability, quiet and very smooth but it had one downside. It lost sooo much color and the first week or so. No other line that I ever used came even close to that. You had the color on your fingers, the cork was full of it and the reel as well.
For this season I spooled a reel with the JBraid and for me its the same line just with a better coating and color that does not come off that easy.
I really recommend it, but be aware if you get used to the silence of the new braids woven from 8 strains its very hard to go back to the 4braids. The fish dont seem to mind but I do. |

I've been using J-braid for salt since last year. It's tiny. If you're used to fishing 30lb, buy 40. Braids usually test out at 50% over their rating, J-braid is rated a little closer to its actual breaking strength. |

Yeah that right. I think the japanese dont measure the knot breaking strain they measure it linear. Thats why it seems pretty thin.
I use 60 lbs on the mh musky rod and 80 lbs on the heavy musky rod for pike fishing. No problem yet. |

Location: Detroit River | I started using it in 50 LB for sturgeon fishing last year. I haven't used it for musky yet but plan on it the next time I need to put new line on my musky reels. I've been happy with it so far plus the price was good as well. |
