Hi everyone,

had an interesting thing happen this past week. I have HDS gen 2 units I use, and after fishing for a few hours, I decided to head home. I get off the water and notice my one unit is no longer on, so I figured I had already turned it off not realizing I did (yes...I'm getting old...)

Anyway, I go to turn it on the next time, and it no longer turns on. I switched it to a different power cord....no power to unit. I took the other unit to the location of my dead unit...fired up just fine.

So...I've narrowed down that the problem is in the head unit itself. How do I determine if the unit is just completely shot or is there something else I can do to the head unit before calling it done?

Thanks
kjgmh

Put a fork in it.

About only other thing would be to look at the connections on the back of the unit and see if they are corroded.
