Subject: Syncing GPS on Older Lowrance Units

Hey guys!

I am interested to see if anyone might be willing to help me with my Lowrance GPS issue?

I have two 2006 Lowrance units:

I am running an LMS-520 C at the stern with full GPS capabilities and I am running an LCX-112 C on the bow.

My goal was to "connect" the two units and to share waypoints and get GPS capabilities on my bow mount unit (I only have one puck and it is connected to the LMS-520).

Right now I have an ENET cable connecting the two of them but this does not seem to connect the LCX112 to the GPS puck/LMS-520 at the stern.

Do I also need to run a network cable from the rear GPS puck to the bow to make this work?

Any help / thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!! I can send pictures if that would help in any way.

Thank you,

Chas Martin

I'm pretty sure the ENET option was inop on the 112, and possibly on the 520.

Believe you would need the NMEA 2000 network connection to make this work. You are correct that you will need the external GPS puck to share for the two units.
