So some of you will remember last week I harassed this forum into picking out an economical baitcaster for me. With your guys' great help, I picked out a brand new C3 from Cabela's. I'm stoked.

Until.....I receive their mailer last night and it turns out that starting June 9th, I would have got 20% extra points on that same reel! AND the Pflueger President I picked up 3 weeks ago!

Man, talk about poor timing.

Moral of the story, grab your Cabela's ad. Their Father's Day sale looks JUMBO.

Call them and see if they'll honor the promotion. Some stores will do that.

Usually they are nice about this, as I've done it before as well. Because essentially what you could do is buy another one and then just return it on the old receipt, which is just a bigger pain for everyone. As long as it's within whatever return period the store has, I just got up to Customer Service and ask them and 9 out of 10 times it's no problem.

Bingo! If they refuse to honor the sale just return it and buy it again. Cabelas tends to be pretty good about stuff like that.
