Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | Thanks to others on this board (read Ranger) who claimed some reel repairs were possible on your own, I undertook some reel work last night. Smoothie drag washers came in the mail yesterday.
9:30 - Disassembled the reel, each piece laid in a line the order it came off.
9:45 - Small panic because I didn't realize how many small parts I would be dealing with.
10:00 - Massive panic, realized I had to reassemble now.
10:15 - Complete amazement, reel was reassembled and seemed to work properly, with alot more drag than it previously had.
Will be water testing tonight if it works I gotta thank Ranger for giving me the gumption to take on minor repairs. |

Luckily, abus go back together pretty easy. Ive never tried to tear down a shimano, and my daiwa has me a little nervous as well, looks like about twice the number of parts. Ive heard calcuttas are pretty easy to tear down also. |

Location: Sheboygan Falls, WI | Hey Norm, in the future let me know about that stuff, I will take care of it for you. If you had the parts I could have had it done in less than 10 minutes, and I will guarantee that they will work. Either give them to me on a Tuesday night or drop them off at the office. I can bring them to work the next day for you completely done.
