I just got back from Grenn River Lake Kentucky. The Kentucky Silver Muskie Club had their annual outing-what a outing it was too. I have never seen so many big fish in my life in an area that couldn't fit two boats in it. The lake was up down there 8 feet and they were pulling the crap out of it and the fish still going like they was. Friday thru Today my boat had 22 fish up 12 hooked and caught 6. One being a 48" fatty that I won the outing on. My partner got a 42", a boat right in front of me got a 45", another guy trolling got a 46", Gene Smith got a 41", another boat caught a 40" and lost a pig. All of this in a 60 yard area. Saturday I lost a 45" a spinner, my partner lost three today one being a low 40's fish. Other than a 30" I caught on Friday I never seen a small fish. Six of us from Cave Run went down and everybody caught fish and that makes a great weekend.

Hey Justin, I know your a busy man and I hope you see this post. If not, anyone please feel free to answer. I was just wondering if you could be a little more specific on where and what you all were doing. I have trolled Green before, but not this time of year. I usually troll in march and april and I'm hitting the sandy flat's with little ernies and wileys in the prop wash at about 4mph. Where you all trolling deep divers (ie believers, swim whizz's, d-raiders)? Where were you all trolling (generally). Open water around suspended baitfish? Old river channels? Any help would be greatly appreciated. You don't have to put me on the fish, just general knowledge is fine. I plan on going down for a several hours on Saturday evening. Thanks alot. m

Sorry it took me so long to get back. I was not trolling. I don't do much trolling. Green River was up and the fish were real shallow up in the bushes like at Cave Run when the water gets up. The only differece is that nobody fishes Green like they do Cave Run. What your talking about is generally the case at Green River. One boy in outing caught 9 fish trolling. That's all the locals do is troll. If the conditions are right cast that lake you will not blieve what will happen. The area I was fishing was Robinson Creek. All the baits that you mentioned are perfect for there. Hope this will help you out.
