| I'm not having any luck over at MuskyHunter.com with this question, so hopefully I can get some help here. Thanks!
My wife and I are going to visit the Dairyland Resevoir in a couple weeks. Can anyone give me some general ideas on things to try? Is it decent muskie water? Thanks in advance! |

Location: Bagley,MN 56621 | I've never been on it and I don't live al that far away either, but last year I believe in one of the Musky Mag's, it was listed as one of Pete Maina's hotspots, pretty good writeup on it.
wish I could remember the Mag, srry...good luck on the water!! |

| If it was on Mania's list and was in a musky publication, I would bet it was in Esox Angler since its his magazine. Hope this helps.

| Thanks guys. Maybe it's a good spot if people are so keeping tight-lipped about it. |

| Very good musky fishery. Basically you'll be fishing the Flambeau River. Lots of structure (rock)(stumps) with some weed.
Primary forage will be redhorse sucker and crappie. Very good smallmouth population along with pike. Pretty lake. Pay close attention to current.
Similar to Holcombe Flowage which is quite close by. Bright colored bucktails and top water will prevail. Water is somewhat stained. |

| I think that there are maps and some hotspot on this lake in the Sportsman's connection Musky fishing map guide. Most sporting goods stores etc have them. I pick mine up at Fleet Farm I think.
Let us know how you do |

Location: Eau Claire, WI | Topwater (topper stopper or topraiders), Bucktails/boo-tais/tinsel tails in orange/copper or black/green, and Glide Baits(Undertakers or Slammers). I hate Reef Hawgs...sorry; but they'll probably work too.
This is stained water, brighter colors will serve you better.
If the water is warm fish the breaks on the SE shore. The end up toward the damn can be good, if we get a bunch of rain the water is flowing get up shallow and fish the "slack" water.
Take your mosquito repellant.
Good luck
