| I am in the process of changing the treble hooks on several of my musky baits. I was wondering if anyone has any advice? I was looking at VMC 4X 4/0 and 5/0. These hooks are obviously very sturdy, but has anyone had problems driving these hooks home or keeping them sharp? Round bend versus O'Shaughnesy? I would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks. |

| Seems to like the round bend style is the winner so far. The VMC 4X hooks are o'shaughnessy and do not have as large a gap. The 4X hooks look almost too thick. It looks like it would be hard to keep a good point on them, also alot of metal to drive into a musky's jaw. Perhaps the VMC 3X conecut round bend might be better. Any other thoughts would be appreciated. Take care. |
