Tips on locating sand grass.
-Does it grow right next to main weeds or is there usually a space till it starts.
-Inside turns, outside turns, straight runs.
-Certain shore lines.
Thanks

I have found sandgrass on a couple of the lakes I normally fish. On one stained water lake I have located it just outside one of the main weed edges in 8-10 fow. On a different lake that is relatively clear, I have found it surrounding one of the main lake basins in 14-18 fow. The only way I have been able to positively identify sandgrass is by dragging bottom of the suspected area with a bulldawg or similar sinking lure. If you bring up any green plant matter that smells like skunk weed, that's it. I remember picking it off a lure last year and still smelling it on my hands when I got in the truck hours later. That is my only real experience with it. Would love to hear how others find it too.

There is a clear water lake I fish. It seems like the sand grass starts where the taller (I think cabbage) ends. This is in about 14 fow.
Same as Martin, I have snagged it from time to time, and it does not smell good.
