Posts: 910 Location: Hastings, mn, 55033 | So where are all the lawyers when one needs them? If the criteria to be used is whether or not a lake historically held muskies, then by gosh that same criteria should apply to walleye stocking as well. Letter sent...and as someone who has voluntarily purchased a Walleye Stamp every year since they introduced them, I will NOT be purchasing one this year. We also will not be taking our early walleye opener trip to Big Stone lake, and have sent an email to the Ottertail Chamber of Commerce letting them know why. Lets try to keep this updated with the organizations, municipalities etc that are supporting this so that folks can make informed decisions about where they want to spend their $$.

Has the argument of if we cant stock non-native muskies to lakes we shouldnt be able to stock walleyes that are not native to lakes been done before? I would be curious to hear how people respond to that in a way that makes sense.

Posts: 3147 | NONE of this makes sense don't even try,,,what about gull lake we won there too,,,this is all about backroom dealings and money talks. The MMA and Muskies Inc Minn Chapters need to raise funds for a full time lawyer "very expensive" I know but these two have never come up short when raising funds and members or not I think all state muskie anglers are on board with this one. Maybe if we had a booth at expo for this issue alone we could reach out to someone who is maybe a retired lawyer who might be willing to throw himself into this or one who's passionate enough to give us a discount who might be attending the show . We want the dnr to handle this issue but if they keep getting pressed with legal action they may decide they have to let it go. A lawyer on our side might be able to at least deflect or attack their scheme s so they have to go on the defensive instead of always putting their energy into attacking us. Posts: 20 Location: Park Rapids, MN | Letter sent! Might do some good to let these people know that a large majority of the walleyes that they claim they want to catch and that musky supposedly eat are also stocked. But it probably won't matter with these misinformed groups. Edited by Baldyhook 3/15/2016 9:42 PM
