Newbie here, in the market for a new small bucktail (8s and under)/topwater rod. Was leaning towards the long ranger but saw that i could get a predator in 9' for just a bit more. My question is should I go with a MH or H and how would they compare to the long ranger. Thanks for any help!

The 9' H would be more versatile in my opinion. You could throw pretty much anything you want to with that rod.

Lots of good rods to select from. ToothTamer rods are great... try a 9" in H.... For the 8's and the like, you will like it I am sure.

Good luck out there!

I'd take an inch off the tip of a predator H. The predator and legend blanks are essentially the same, the actions fall in between each other.
Long ranger < predator H < Slingblade < predator XH.....
