Location: Plainfield, IL | For those of you who have made the upgrade, I was wondering why you would need two units anymore. It seems like the gofree app and a 10 inch tablet would be a cheaper way to get a big display. What am I missing? |

| As far as i understand The tablet wil only be a copi of The Master unit, so you wouldnt be able to have two different screens, but i not 100% |

Yore missing that tablets dont work too good in the bright sun or pouring rain. They work great in a cabin cruiser though. |

Location: Plainfield, IL | Great points. I had thought about a waterproof case, but the sun could be an issue.
I could put the HDS on the front deck and use the tablet at the console. Might need to make a visor or something. Need to think about it more. Thanks

| I have been running the go free app on an iPad in a life proof case with a ram mount for 2 years now going on season 3 this year. The ram mount is spring loaded and it works great I run it as my front graph and also let a passenger hold it in their lap while trolling so that I can teach clients what we are doing and looking for. It is only a repeater screen and duplicates exactly what is on the main graph I have a gen 2 so I'm not sure if the gen 3 works differently. I would say the only downfall is it can be hard to see with polarized glasses it can be bright and sunny out and I can see it fine with out the glasses but as soon as I put them on it is almost like it disappears. |
